The Grinder vs. the Road Warrior: Jared Braun Meets Jean Tejena at RUF 71
Fourteen pro fights across two countries against a Phoenix flyweight nobody has been able to stop.
PHOENIX, AZ, October 14, 2026. Jared Braun has been to the judges five times in six pro fights and has never been stopped. Jean Tejena has fought fourteen times as a pro, in Ecuador and the United States. They meet at flyweight on November 7 at RUF 71: Dia de Los Muertos.
The Grinder
Braun (4-2) trains at the MMA Lab in Phoenix. He won his first RUF fight as an amateur at RUF 31 in 2019 and has since fought for Anthony Pettis FC, LFA, UFL and Gladiator Wars. Both of his losses were decisions, one of them split. When he finishes, it is with the rear-naked choke. RUF 71 is his RUF debut as a pro. He is coming off a decision loss to Yve Nelson at LFA 236 in June.
The Road Warrior
Tejena (5-9) is from Machala, Ecuador, and built his career on Ecuadorian regional cards before taking fights in the United States. Three of his five wins are knockouts. He came to RUF 69 in July as the co-main opponent for Alex Preissing and was stopped in the first round. He has power at bantamweight and drops to flyweight for this one.

Where the Fight Is Won
Braun wants pace, control and fifteen hard minutes. Tejena needs to land early and make it a fight before the weight cut and Braun's pressure catch up. If it reaches round three, it is Braun's fight to lose.
Also on the card: Alex Preissing, who stopped Tejena in July, fights Chas Dunhour on the same card.
