Both Need It: Jordan "Sunbear" Barreras vs. Antron Petty at RUF 71
Both have won in under a minute. Both need a win now.
PHOENIX, AZ, October 14, 2026. Jordan "Sunbear" Barreras of Abunai MMA in Avondale returns after a year away to face Antron Petty, one of the longest-serving amateurs in the RUF cage, at featherweight on November 7 at RUF 71: Dia de Los Muertos.
Sunbear
Barreras (1-2) was born in Safford, Arizona and has fought only under the RUF banner. He announced himself at RUF 59 by choking out Armando Lucio III in 54 seconds. His last fight was on the 2025 Dia de Los Muertos card, a decision against Mason Carroll. He returns to the same themed show one year later. At 5'10" he should have the size edge.
The Independent
Petty fights without a team behind his name on the card. He has made six RUF appearances since 2021, more than almost anyone on this amateur card. His signature win is a 25-second knockout at RUF 42. He knows how fast it can turn.
