Striker Meets Good Hands: Patrick Quick vs. Ethan James Goodwin at RUF 70
Pro featherweight. A hometown Arizona striker meets a Las Vegas fighter with heavy hands.
PHOENIX, AZ · August 28, 2026 · A pro featherweight striking clash lands on RUF 70: LEGENDS when Arizona's Patrick Quick meets Las Vegas fighter Ethan James "Good Hands" Goodwin. Saturday, August 29, 2026, at the Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix. Two fighters who like to throw down, one cage, and a home crowd to please.
The Hometown Striker: Patrick Quick
Patrick Quick comes into RUF 70 as a genuine home fighter, a Phoenix, Arizona competitor with a background in Muay Thai and kickboxing who is crossing that striking pedigree into MMA. A fighter with real stand-up experience is dangerous every second the fight is on the feet, and Quick will have the crowd behind him. He fights like a man who wants to keep it standing and let his hands and kicks do the talking.
Good Hands from Vegas: Ethan James Goodwin
Ethan James Goodwin travels in from Las Vegas, Nevada carrying a nickname, "Good Hands", that tells you how he likes to fight. A 3-4 professional who built his early career in Tuff-N-Uff, the prominent Las Vegas regional promotion, he comes to Phoenix with power and momentum on the road. A fighter comfortable in enemy territory with a striker's mentality is exactly the wrong kind of opponent to trade with carelessly. Goodwin is coming to make a statement.

Where the Fight Is Won and Lost
This one has the makings of a firefight. Both men want to strike, and the fighter who lands cleaner, moves smarter, and keeps his composure in the exchanges usually walks away with it. If Quick uses the crowd energy and his stand-up variety, the night is his. If Goodwin's power lands first, the road fighter can quiet the building. Two strikers with something to prove rarely make for a dull fight.
Don't Miss It
A hometown striker against a road fighter with heavy hands is exactly the kind of featherweight scrap that makes RUF cards worth being in the building for. RUF 70: LEGENDS takes over the legendary Celebrity Theatre in Phoenix on Saturday, August 29, 2026. Who gets their hand raised?
