Arizona Takes Over Noche UFC: The RUF Nation Pipeline Is All Over the Card

When Noche UFC lands at Desert Diamond Arena in Glendale on Saturday, September 12, 2026, Mexican Independence Day weekend, it will feel a lot like a RUF Nation homecoming. The same Arizona fight scene that runs through Celebrity Theatre and RUF Nation is stamped all over this card, from the main event down to the prelims. Here is who to watch, and why every one of them is a familiar name to anyone who has been to a RUF Nation show.

Jose Miguel Delgado Headlines at Home

The main event belongs to Arizona. Yuma-born featherweight Jose Miguel Delgado (12-2), who fights out of Glendale, stepped up to headline Noche UFC against Brazil's Jean Silva. Delgado has been on a tear, and now he gets to do it in front of his home state on the sport's biggest Mexican Independence Day weekend stage. This is exactly the trajectory RUF Nation has spent years building in Arizona: local fighters climbing from the regional scene all the way to a UFC main event.

Waldo Cortes-Acosta on the Main Card

Heavyweight contender Waldo "Salsa Boy" Cortes-Acosta, a top-ranked UFC heavyweight, takes the biggest test of his run against Curtis Blaydes on the main card. RUF Nation fans already know Waldo. He was featured on UFC Embedded cornering his team inside a packed Celebrity Theatre at RUF 68, one more sign that the road through Arizona and RUF Nation leads straight to the Octagon.

Tommy Gun McMillen Keeps the Streak Alive

Peoria's own Tommy "Gun" McMillen, unbeaten at 11-0 as a pro and 18-0 across his amateur and pro career, is getting a major UFC push and lands on the main card against fellow undefeated finisher Marwan Rahiki. A Red Hawk Academy product, McMillen is part of the Arizona wave that RUF Nation has helped put on the map.

Drakkar Klose Reps Red Hawk on the Prelims

UFC lightweight veteran Drakkar Klose (16-3-1), a coach at Red Hawk Academy, opens things up on the prelims against Thomas Gantt. Klose is a fixture of the Arizona fight community that shows up at RUF Nation events year round.

The Throughline: Arizona, Red Hawk, and RUF Nation

Four fighters, one common thread. Delgado headlining, Cortes-Acosta and McMillen on the main card, and Klose on the prelims all trace back to the Arizona MMA ecosystem that RUF Nation and Celebrity Theatre have fueled for years. RUF Nation has produced the fights, the venue, and the platform that help Arizona talent get seen. Noche UFC is what it looks like when that pipeline reaches the sport's biggest stage.
