The Muay Thai Super Series is a league designed for the stadium fighter, like Lumpinee and Rajadamnern Stadiums based in Bangkok, Thailand, the mecca of the Muay Thai culture. At a Muay Thai Super Series event, you will witness a true authentic display of the art of 8 limbs, a unique physical and mental discipline which includes combat on shins because of its combined use of fists, elbows, knees and shins. At RUF53 both amateurs and professionals compete to be crowned king of their respectable divisions. You can expect the best elite stand up strikers that honor their respected gyms and coaches with culture that has been deeply rooted within the sport for centuries.

Muay Thai (Thai: มวยไทย, RTGS: Muai Thai,  [mūaj.tʰāj] ) is a combat sport of Thailand that uses stand-up striking along with various clinching techniques. Muay Thai became widespread internationally in the twentieth century, when practitioners defeated other masters of martial arts. Fighters (some of whom have won titles) such as Maurício Rua, Wanderlei Silva, Jose Aldo, Renan Barão, Anderson Silva, Thiago Silva, Gina Carano and Cristiane Santos employ a broad range of tactics born of Muay Thai.
